Mother’s Day is only days away, so I want to take a moment to recognize and encourage all women: women who are mothers, women who are caregivers, women who are mentors. No matter how or who you nurture and lead, you are mothering. Your contributions, visible or not, public or private, shape families, communities, and workplaces every day.
But honouring women means more than just appreciation—it also means advocacy, and sometimes that advocacy needs to be fierce. Genuine respect for women who mother includes supporting every woman’s right to make informed choices about her body, access quality healthcare, and live with safety, dignity, and opportunity. These aren’t privileges—they’re fundamental rights that enable women to thrive, participate in every part of society, and live with purpose.
This Mother’s Day, please join me in celebrating women with gratitude. Let’s commit to building a world where all women have the freedom, support, and resources to define their own paths. When women succeed, we all do.
